Introduction...

In this case study, we will explore how our client Eco-Sol, a fire proofing & protection eCommerce business leveraged Google Ads to boost their online revenue and achieve an exceptional 58% increase YoY, with sales jumping 65.5% in the same window. By implementing a strategic Google Ads strategy utilising Search & Performance Max campaigns, the client not only experienced a significant increase in KPI’s but also established a stronger brand presence in the competitive fire proofing & protection market.

The Challenges...

Outdated Google Ads Setup: During the audit process, the account was littered with outdated practices that was impacting its ability to compete.

Limited Online Visibility: Despite offering industry leading products, the client struggled to gain adequate online visibility and compete with established brands.

Conversion Tracking: eCommerce tracking not recording correctly, meaning historical data was not reliable. This had to be corrected before any other work commenced.

To address the client’s challenges, our paid media team devised a comprehensive Google Ads campaign strategy, focused on updating the account with in-date practices, increasing brand and product visibility and improving the revenue and sales figures. The key components of the strategy included…

Campaign Restructure: An overhaul of the two primary search campaigns, implementing themed ad groups and A/B testing of original ad copy vs newly written by Hatch (with client sign-off beforehand!)
The introduction of three Performance Max campaigns. One focusing on their ‘coating’ range and the other two split by price point.

Ad Creation and Optimisation: Compelling ad copy and visually appealing ad creatives were developed to capture user attention and promote the client’s more effectively on Google’s channels.

Targeted Audience Segmentation: By leveraging Google Ads’ audience targeting capabilities, the campaign focused on reaching potential customers interested in fire prevention products. Demographic, interest-based and behaviour-based targeting were employed to refine and improve the targeting strategy.

Conversion Tracking and Measurement: Conversion tracking utilising both Google Tag and GA4 were implemented to accurately measure the campaign’s results, allowing for ongoing optimisation and accurate reporting to the client.
